My heart is surrounded by water
Floating in it, peacefully
It beats once, twice, 72 times a minute
Pumping and creating waves
Waves that grew
Waves that eroded my heart

Obliviously working against itself
Never knowing it's strength
Foolishly it kept its tempo
And piece by piece it wore away
Withered into a black nothing
It finally breaks

No one left to live for
No one left to kill
And yet I keep believing
There's a way if I have the will

I know I should just stop caring
I know I should just say no
Coz, I know if I hope, it falls through
And I wont survive the incoming blow

Tick, tick, tick
A constant reminder inside my head
Tick, tick, tick
The anger boils to a critical point
Tick, tick, tick
My fingers tangle in my hair and pull hard
Tick, tick, tick
I pray for pain but I'm completely numb
Tick, tick, tick
Your time's up...

I sit in my dark and lonely heart
Searching for the key
Locked away from watchful eyes
Why wont you set me free?

Black tears streak my face and neck
Stain my clothes and soul
When all I want or need is you
the absence takes me whole

Somewhere deep inside my mind
I hope it's worth the wait
But my heart breaks when I think of you
And solitude is my fate
